As has been customary with a progressive and dynamic company like Malibu boats, one can always look forward to “the next big thing” when a model year comes around as their R&D team pull the next proverbial “rabbit out of the hat”. 2009 is certainly no exception with 4 new models on the way and some sensational new innovations as we have come to expect from this marquee brand. New models recently announced by Malibu for introduction in 2009: The all- new for 2009 Malibu Wakesetter VLX is transforming the inboard industry. This truly is an incredible looking boat and its performance is no doubt every bit as good as it looks. Its aggressive looks and new styling offer another level again to what has become the benchmark in Wakeboard boats and is sure to be a superstar in their line up. It features an entirely new hull and deck design, new interior and new dash layout. Available in both Wake and Diamond hull designs, the Australian release date for this model is slated for February 2009. Revolutionary Response FXi: Reflecting the popularity and demand of Malibu’s 20 ft Wakesetter VTX, the all new Response FXi now offers their multi facet Diamond version of this hull in a center mount design and offers Response LXi customers a boat with more room and freeboard, but now with the versatility of optional rear ballast. Release for this model is also January 2009. 21 V Ride: The V-Ride gains new life in 09 with the introduction of the new 21 V-Ride. With the DNA of the 05-08 VLX V25 hull, this model will be built to appeal to the entry level buyer and will be priced very competitively. It has standard dual rear sub floor ballast tanks with the centre tank as an option. They are aiming to release this boat early in the model year but following the VLX and FXI. |
